Are you 13-17 years old, living in Wakefield district? Do you love Film and Music? Have you ever dreamed of making a professional Music Video? This is your chance to Make it Happen!

Take part in a 5-day intensive skills camp and make a dynamic music video working with an expert Filmmaker and local Musician.

What you’ll do:
  • Step into the world of music video production and form a production crew.
  • Work as a creative team to explore how music, movement, fashion, lighting, colour, and digital storytelling combine to shape visual identity of the story and artist.
  • Take on on real creative industry roles such as director, art director, stylist, camera operator, lighting technician, editor and more.
  • Develop hands-on practical skills exploring camera work, artist direction, lighting and more.
  • Work towards achieving an Arts Award.

Don’t worry at all if you don’t have experience working in these roles, this is a friendly and inclusive week where you will learn together.

What you’ll experience:

The project will be energetic, collaborative, and inclusive. The big focus is creative expression, as well as building hands-on experience of what it feels like to work in a professional creative production environment. It will be bold and ambitious and working together you will create a truly iconic music video!

Who will teach you:

Your Creative Coach is John Slemensek-Thorne a self-taught Film Director. In 2015 John founded from Studio Bokehgo. The studio has made thousands of films and photo portfolios for all types of projects. Their aim is to set you off on your own creative journey, opening doorways onto new creative opportunities and amplifying your individual creative voice.
