WX is an exciting city centre destination in Wakefield
where work and play converge.

When WX is officially open, it will be open every day from morning to evening, WX is a lively spot where you can eat, socialise, and work together.

It’s packed with spaces designed to spark new ideas, support local businesses, and host events like exhibitions and performances.

A new multi-use space for Wakefield City Centre

Highlights include The Shed for dining and events, The Factory and Union Walk for independent shops and businesses, and The Yard for outdoor fun.

Just a short walk from Union Street and Wakefield bus station, WX is a welcoming hub that brings work and play together in one exciting place.

Wakefield Exchange is run by a team as part of the Arts, Culture and Leisure department at Wakefield Council, supported using public funding by Department for Design, Culture, Media & Sport, and Arts Council England.
