As WX's Brewery-in-Residence, The Jolly Boys' Brewery Ltd will be waiting at The Exchange Tap to pour you tantalising ales, crisp lagers, varied spirits, and guest ales.

The Jolly Boys’ Brewery Ltd was formed in 2014 and has established itself as one of the leading breweries in Yorkshire.

After navigating Covid pressures, The Jolly Boys Brewery continues to operate pubs in Barnsley and Moorthorpe Station. The brewery has now expanded by becoming the Brewery-in-Residence at WX in Wakefield, offering a quality bar and exciting new brews made and served on-site.

Their mantra of warmth, intimacy, friendship, and trust runs through everything they do, and they bring these values to WX. The brewery’s fine ales and expertise in creating popular pubs will meet the needs of traditional pub-goers while offering something new and exciting for curious customers.

WX is their home, and they're thrilled to continue brewing fantastic ales in the heart of Wakefield. Half the Jolly Boys are from the city, and they look forward to hosting unique, inclusive events. 

The Exchange Tap is their brewery outlet, serving ales directly from the casks alongside lagers, spirits, and guest ales. They'll offer special deals during events and brew one-off beers for occasions.
