FREE School Trips available for Jason and the Wakefield Adventure!

We’re thrilled to invite your school to explore Jason and the Wakefield Adventure at Wakefield Exchange (WX) – an interactive exhibition featuring vibrant sculptures by Wakefield-born artist Jason Wilsher-Mills.

Running from 20 June - 7 September 2025, this exhibition offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with art, storytelling, and creativity.

OFFER

  • Free teacher-led sessions for up to 33 students per group
  • Cross-curricular resources supporting creative exploration across art, literacy, PSHE, and more
  • SEND-exclusive sessions on Mondays
  • Flexible scheduling Tuesday–Friday (advance booking required)
  • Larger groups possible on Tuesdays when the exhibition is closed to the public
  • Transport bursaries of £250 available for the first 20 schools who book and need support with travel – first-come, first-served!

DATES

  • Mondays: SEND-Exclusive Sessions
  • Tuesdays: Teacher-Led Sessions (larger groups possible)
  • Wednesdays: Teacher-Led Sessions (up to 33 students per session)
  • Thursdays: Teacher-Led Sessions (up to 33 students per session)
  • Fridays: Teacher-Led Sessions (up to 33 students per session)

Morning and afternoon slots available.

To book a session, email ouryearschools@wakefield.gov.uk with your preferred date(s) and time slot(s).

Places are limited – early booking is encouraged.
